Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms, they felt like stepping back in time with the original wood paneling, which was lovely and very well-kept. The cleanliness was impressive, but some minor issues emerged. The hotel service was a mix of helpfulness and some cold encounters, providing a range of necessary services but lacking warmth. The location was authentic, offering a glimpse into the hotel's history, yet with a few drawbacks due to the surrounding area. The dining experience was enjoyable, but slightly overpriced. Overall, a charming stay with some room for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was mixed. The rooms lacked amenities that I would expect for the price, and my small room was very noisy. However, considering the historical age of the Queen Mary, it was an interesting experience. Having two bottles of water available for purchase but not the preferred drinks was a drawback. The location, though lacking in atmosphere and being far from the ship with no clear signage, was close to the Carnival terminal, which could be convenient for some visitors.
The hotel offers fabulous and spacious rooms, but poor maintenance and cleaning take away from the original period charm. The lack of soundproofing can be bothersome, especially without functioning air conditioning or fans. The service is friendly and helpful, despite the early wake-up call. The location is ideal for exploring Long Beach, within walking distance to the cruise terminal and near the Queen Mary. Dining options are excellent but the wait can be long. Overall, a mixed experience with notable strengths and weaknesses.
I had a unique experience staying on a ship for the first time ever. The rooms were quite spartan with only the bare essentials, and I found them to be a bit cold at night. However, there were hidden costs that came as a downside.
I had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were nice and spacious, and the staff was really friendly. The location was fantastic, with plenty of dining options nearby. However, the dining experience was not as good as I hoped. Overall, a pleasant experience with some minor downsides.
My stay at this hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The room situation was a mess - given the wrong room and later ended up in one without hot water. The staff's response was lacking, especially during my honeymoon. While the size of the room exceeded my expectations, it wasn't enough to make up for the disappointing experience. I won't be returning or recommending this place.
